Next year, the International Conference on Live Coding (ICLC) will be held in Barcelona!
So grab your keyboards (or alternate interfaces), put your live coding hats on, and start to plan your papers, performances, workshops or satellite events to share your interests and experiences with the rest of us!
From experience I can say that the Barcelona live coding community is a friendly and welcoming bunch, and we’re excited to see submissions from all over the world, from all kinds of people. How can we expand (or dissolve) boundaries in live coding? How can we lower the technical/social barriers to this form of public creative expression?
This is a kind of pre-call; the system to submit proposals/submissions should be live in a few weeks. For all the information, watch this space:
The full call for ICLC 2025 is now posted, and the submission system for articles as well as proposals for performances and workshops is open. Submissions will only be open until September 15, so get your ideas together and write something up! You can find all the details here:
We’re also looking to extend our pool of reviewers. If you’re active in a field related to live coding (in all its facets), and you’re interested in reviewing a paper, workshop or performance, please send an email with a short description and keywords of your field of expertise to iclc@toplap.cat.
The ICLC 2025 Call for Proposals has been extended to allow for abstract registrations until September 22nd, allowing changes and uploads of the completed submission templates until September 30th.
This means you can just create an empty submission ID by the first deadline to hold your spot, and then you can add and change your materials until the second deadline!
Quick note in case anyone else has trouble accessing the submission page – for whatever reason, I was unable to access the page in Chrome, but Firefox was OK. Probably some cookies thing; I manually enabled cookies for easychair.org but it just did not work in Chrome. Weird.
EDIT: Aha, I see what it is now.
Later, I had the same problem in Firefox. I ended up working around it by going to the CFP at easychair and following the link there.
@jamshark70 I found this a bit unclear and someone asked about it on the iclc channel on the toplap discord. The answer was to reply to the email. @incolico is the mastodon profile
