Using MIDI input to trigger sequences

Hi!

I was wondering if it was possible in any way to trigger a sequence (or to evaluate a custom function / line of code / “do” block) using a MIDI controller.

Novation’s just released a surprisingly customizable mk3 of its Launchpad Mini (https://cdm.link/2019/10/novation-launchpad-x-launchpad-mini/), and, if doable, it could be an affordable way to mix live-coding and grid-based workflow (which has its strength).

Heyy,
from what I know, this can’t be done at the moment. What you can do is to have a pattern running in the background in silence and use midi input to unsilence it.
Its not the best approach, but it kinda works…
